Ensure appropriate financial oversight, compliance and reporting.
Improve risk management and identification of financial risks.
Assist in Strategic Planning and the effective use of CAMFT resources.
Bolster CAMFT’s resource and fundraising development to deliver more member benefits.
Collaborate with CAMFT’s Finance Department and Finance Committee to ensure alignment with best practices.
Provide transparent communication regarding financial matters to CAMFT membership, board, staff and external parties.

Danah Williams, who is a candidate for the CAMFT Board of Directors as the Board CFO, has a proven leadership track record with CAMFT. Danah has served on the CAMFT Board in many roles, most recently as Board President. Danah has an extensive knowledge of CAMFT, it’s financial information and structure, making Danah an excellent candidate for CFO.
It takes Board experience to help guide CAMFT though it’s financial decisions, looking after the financial health of the association. The CAMFT Board of Directors is charged with being good stewards of CAMFT’s financial health, with the Board CFO as an integral part of this important responsibility. I have had the pleasure of serving on the board with Danah during her previous experiences, and I know and trust that she will be a good steward of CAMFT’s financial health. She is honest, trustworthy, and is a business woman who manages all aspects of her private practice.
I first met Danah when we were competing for an open position as a Member at Large on the CAMFT Board. Danah ultimately was selected for the position, and, in hindsight she was the better choice. When I had the opportunity to begin working with her on the Board a year later, I was impressed with her leadership and dedication to CAMFT.
During our time on the Board, Danah took careful consideration of each and every decision that we were about to make. The decisiveness that she showed in her consideration is what makes her voice so powerful in rooms where she was called on to lead. Danah went on to serve as the CAMFT Board of Director’s President, where she skillfully guided the Board, and helped to make sound financial decisions for the association.
Danah’s prior experience on the Board makes her an excellent candidate for the CAMFT Board of Director’s CFO with multiple years of CAMFT experience. CAMFT has an opportunity to grow it’s programs, it’s reach and influence in many professional arenas with sound financial footing. Danah will provide that guidance for a sound financial footing, so that CAMFT will be able to offer it’s members additional services and assist in providing greater influence in our profession as Marriage and Family Therapists.
